Frank R. Howard Foundation and the campaign for
the new Frank R. Howard Memorial Hospital & Healthcare Campus

 

The construction of a new medical campus is the primary goal for the Howard Foundation (FRHF) and the Howard Community Healthcare Foundation, the fundraising arm of the FRHF. In 2010,

the hospital operator, Adventist Health, was very generous in offering to continue the Foundation’s primary goal of building the new hospital which allowed the Howard Foundation to focus on developing additional medical campus facilities and programs that will compliment the new hospital.

 
The new hospital include:

 

  • ​25-patient rooms including 4 ICU beds

  • In-patient and Out-patient physical therapy

  • 9 emergency treatment rooms (2 trauma, 3 treatment, 2 exam)

  • 4 surgery suites (2 fully equipped, 1 endo, 1 shelled), 10 prep/recovery bays, 6 PACU

  • Imaging (MRI, CT, 2 R&F, mammography, ultrasound, bone density)

  • Laboratory

  • Pharmacy

  • Medical Records

  • Administration Offices

  • Meeting/Conference Room

  • Medical Library

  • Helipad next to the Emergency Room

 

  Donations to the Foundation will go directly towards the construction of the new medical campus

You may also wish to have your contribution honored by contributing directly to the cost of a specific location at the new Frank R. Howard Medical Campus. These Naming Opportunities are

as follows:

 

  • For $10,000,000 there is 1 naming opportunity: The Wellness Center & Pool

  • For $10,000,000 there is 1 naming opportunity: The William Bowen Auditorium

  • For $2,500,000 there are 4 naming opportunities: Campus Housing

We have an increasing number of friends of the Foundation who now are benefiting from life income gifts, gift annuities and other plans. The Howard Foundation is grateful for the philanthropy of our donors that has helped make our organization a leader in the region as a highly skilled specialty health center that provides services with compassion and dignity.

 

Through the generosity of our donors who give to our Foundation, we have helped preserve our heritage and maintain our standards of performance to continue to be patient driven.

 

The Foundation is ready to accept any donation or gift no matter how small or how large. The Foundation has been in existence for many years, therefore allowing us to show you creative ways how you can benefit by making a contribution in the form of gift annuities, estate planning, insurance policies, in-kind donations, etc.

 

To date, the Foundation has received endowments consisting of parcels of land, investment portfolios, automobiles and even valuable works of art. If you do not have someone who can assist you with the understanding of the value of such gifts, we can introduce you to qualified professionals who bring years of planned giving knowledge to our organization.

There are several types of plans. Many of these have wonderful benefits for the gift donors. Many of these families have enjoyed increased income and generous tax savings. There are many ways you can give to help our region’s growing healthcare needs:

 

  • Cash – Cash contributions may be made in the form of an outright gift or may be pledged over a specified time period. We accept cash, checks, Visa, MasterCard, and American Express.

  • Stocks/Bonds – Property other than cash can make an excellent tax-wise gift, especially if it has increased in value. Gifts of appreciated securities such as stocks, bonds, or mutual funds can help you avoid capital gains.

  • Bequest – An easy way to make a revocable gift is through your will with a bequest. You can enhance your personal commitment to the health of those in our region while preserving assets during life.

  • Life Insurance – Giving life insurance that your family no longer depends on, you can make a meaningful gift to benefit medical programs and services that are important to you and will allow us to benefit today.

  • Real Estate – You can make a gift of commercial or residential real estate to our Foundation and receive substantial financial benefits.

  • Planned Giving/Life Income – Charitable trusts and annuities given to an endowment fund qualify for significant tax savings.
